What exactly is a credit?
A credit is a unit you spend on the service menu. Services are not all the same size, so they are not all one credit. A trademark is 3, a trust is 2, and an LLC or a custom contract is 1 each. Your package tells you how many credits you have.
Can I take the same service twice?
Yes. If you own three properties and want an LLC for each, that is three credits. Portfolio gives you five, so you could do three LLCs and one custom contract with a credit left, or a trademark plus a trust.
How long do I have to use my credits?
Your credits are available for the length of your support term, which is 3 months on Foundation, 6 on Growth, and 12 on Portfolio. Most clients use them in the first few weeks.
What is not included?
Government filing fees are paid separately at cost, including USPTO trademark fees and state entity filing fees. Litigation, zoning hearings, and court appearances are not part of these packages.
What does support actually mean?
Email me directly and hear back within 24 hours on business days, plus one scheduled strategy call each quarter of your term. It covers questions about your properties, your documents, and issues as they come up.
What if I need something that is not on the menu?
Ask. Most short-term rental legal work fits one of these four categories, and if yours does not, I will quote it separately and tell you honestly if you are better off with a local attorney.
Do I have to be in Michigan?
No. I work with short-term rental owners nationwide. I am licensed in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana, and for anything that requires local counsel elsewhere I will tell you up front.
Is buying a package legal advice?
Purchasing does not by itself create an attorney client relationship. That is established when we sign an engagement letter, which happens before any work begins.
